Yeah Buddy Launches Limited Edition yb x Brooke Staff Collection in Support of Bravehearts 777 Marathon
Inspired by Brooke Staff’s 7-marathon journey for child protection, this limited-edition 5-panel ...
At Yeah Buddy, we stand behind those who run with purpose—those who lace up not just for the finish line, but for something far greater. Brooke is one of those people.
This June, Brooke is taking on Australia’s mightiest ultra-marathon challenge; the Bravehearts 777 Marathon. That’s 7 marathons in 7 states over 7 consecutive days. A test of body, mind, and spirit. But for Brooke, this isn't just about kilometres or medals. It’s about the kids.
As a mum, and someone who’s worked in child protection for years, Brooke knows the devastating impact of child sexual abuse. She’s walked alongside survivors, advocated for their healing, and fought for their voices to be heard. She’s seen first-hand the importance of early intervention, the power of prevention, and the critical need to give children a voice before harm ever occurs.
Over the past 12 months, running became more than a routine for Brooke, it became a lifeline. In the world of child protection, vicarious trauma is real. But Brooke flips that on its head.
She runs not to carry the weight of the work—but to transform it into vicarious resilience. Every footfall, every breath, every hard-earned kilometre is an act of care—for herself, for survivors, and for every child at risk.
“Every step,” she says, “is a step for a child who has experienced sexual abuse. Every step is for a child who is at risk. Every step is for a survivor. No matter how hard it gets, my pain doesn’t come close to what they’ve been through.
”We’re proud to back Brooke as she takes on this challenge, not just as an athlete, but as a voice for those who need it most. Her strength is not just in her stride, it’s in her story. Her mission. Her heart.
This is more than a run.
It’s a movement.
At Yeah Buddy, we had the absolute honour of creating this piece for Brooke’s Bravehearts 777 Marathon journey — a visual tribute to a mission that goes far beyond endurance. This design isn’t just a celebration of movement or beauty — it’s a story of resilience, purpose, and the fire that drives someone to keep going, even when the path gets tough.
The design centres around the Waratah, one of Australia’s most powerful native symbols. Chosen for its connection to strength, survival, and regeneration after fire, the Waratah perfectly represents Brooke’s journey. Just like this flower blooms brighter after hardship, Brooke is running with the same spirit — every step fuelled by love, pain, purpose, and the unwavering drive to protect and advocate for children.
The intense reds, oranges, and deep blues weren’t chosen for aesthetics alone. They echo the emotional depth of the cause — the flames of trauma, but also the fire of hope. The layered floral forms reflect the complexity of Brooke’s story — a woman, a mother, a protector, running not just across seven states, but through seven deeply personal chapters of advocacy, healing, and grit.
For us at Yeah Buddy, this wasn’t just another artwork — it was a chance to honour a cause that matters. We poured intention into every detail, creating something bold, meaningful, and full of heart. This design stands as a symbol of Brooke’s commitment, and of every child’s right to safety, voice, and a future.
