BRISBANE, QLD – April 24, 2026 – Australian running gear brand Yeah Buddy today announced a three-year partnership agreement as the official hat supplier for the United Airlines Jetty 2 Jetty Marathon, covering the 2026, 2027, and 2028 events. The collaboration kicks off with the iconic Moreton Bay event's 40th anniversary, organised by Tourism & Events Moreton Bay, in collaboration with the Moreton Bay Road Runners. The event has been going since its launch in 1986. The weekend is a three-day celebration running from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 19, 2026, marking four decades of community running with a full weekend of events, limited edition caps, and community activations.
As part of the partnership, Yeah Buddy's Eugene D'Hagé-Craig has designed three exclusive, limited edition running caps to mark the milestone. Registered participants in the 3km and 5km event will receive a custom participant edition cap, which will also be available for purchase. A special 40th anniversary edition will be provided exclusively for the Moreton Bay Road Runners members, while a retro 80s Throwback design, honouring the inaugural 1986 race, will be sold online and at the event expo.

“What an absolute privilege to partner with the Jetty 2 Jetty team and Tourism & Events Moreton Bay for this massive 40th anniversary Marathon,” said Leon Hayes, Founder, Yeah Buddy. “Committing to a three-year partnership was a no-brainer for us. This isn't just a race; it's a whole weekend celebration and a cornerstone of the running community. We’ve cooked up three special cap designs for the runners to kick things off, but the party starts Friday. It’s all about celebrating community, having a go, and leaving things a little better than we found them. We're excited to be part of this family for years to come and can't wait to see everyone out there.”
Beyond the race day gear, Yeah Buddy will be a central part of the Marathon weekend at Pelican Park, Clontarf. The celebration kicks off on Friday, July 17, with a special film night hosted by Yeah Buddy Films, featuring its documentary 'States of Mind'. The film follows runner Lachlan Stuart’s journey completing 58 marathons across all 50 US states and every Australian state and territory. On Saturday, July 18, the brand will lead a free community shake out run, open to all runners and walkers, alongside a day of entertainment. The weekend culminates with the Marathon event on Sunday, July 19.
The partnership also extends Yeah Buddy's commitment to leaving a positive footprint. For every limited-edition hat produced for the event, the brand will fund the planting of a tree and the removal of 10 plastic bottles from the ocean through its partnership with Plastic Bank. This initiative is projected to result in over 2,600 new trees planted and the collection of more than 26,000 plastic bottles from our waterways.
